Modify Host, Ports Tab

Navigation: SAN > Storage > Hosts > Actions > Modify Host > Ports

Modifies the host driver information of the storage area network (SAN).

If you are configuring iSCSI on the host port, also configure iSCSI on the Oracle FS System.

Depending upon the host configuration, the port information is shown as FC or iSCSI.

Host Name

Identifies the name of the SAN host entry.

FC Port Information

Alias

Identifies the HBA alternative, friendly, name for the port, which can be set to any useful value.

Note: Select this field to make necessary changes.
Port

Identifies the WWN assigned to an FC HBA port.

Speed
Indicates the speed, in Gb/s, of the connection between the SAN host and the device to which the host is directly connected. That device is typically a network switch or possibly the Controller.
Note: The actual data transfer rate between the SAN host and the Controller can be less than the reported speed. It can be less because the data transfer rate is governed by the slowest link on the path between the host and the Controller.
Manufacturer

Identifies the manufacturer of a hardware component.

HBA Model

Identifies the model number of a hardware component.

Driver Version

Identifies version of the HBA driver.

Firmware Version

Identifies the HBA firmware version.

iSCSI Port Information

Alias

Identifies an alternative friendly name that is assigned to the host port.

Note: Select the field to make necessary changes.
iSCSI Device Name

Identifies the name of the iSCSI initiator for the SAN host. An initiator encapsulates SCSI commands and data requests within iSCSI packets and transfers the packets across the IP network.

IP Addresses

Identifies the IP address of the host iSCSI port.
