Modify System Time Dialog

Navigation: System > Global Settings > System Time > Actions > Modify

Changes the properties of the system time to synchronize the Oracle FS System clock time with a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server or to set the date and time manually.
Use External Time Source
Identifies that the Oracle FS System synchronizes its clocks with Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers. You can specify a primary NTP server and up to two alternate NTP servers with which the system synchronizes its clocks. Enter the IP addresses assigned to the primary NTP server and up to two alternate NTP servers into the following fields:
  • NTP Server 1

  • NTP Server 2

  • NTP Server 3

If the primary NTP server is unavailable, the system polls the alternate NTP servers in a round-robin fashion until the Oracle FS System connects to an available NTP server. Enter IP addresses or DNS names for up to two alternate NTP servers.

Use Internal Hardware Clock

Identifies that the Oracle FS System synchronizes its clocks with a date and time that you set manually. Oracle FS System clocks are synchronized with each other, and their time may differ from other clocks in your network.

Date/Time

Presents a wizard that allows you to set the Oracle FS System date and time. The time that you set is converted internally to the Coordinated Universal Time (abbreviated UTC) format.
