View Pilot Dialog

Navigation: System > Hardware > Pilots > Actions > View Pilot

Displays the status of the selected Pilot management controller that is installed on the Oracle FS System.
Control Unit Number

Identifies the node of the Pilot, which is either 1 or 2.

Operation Mode

Displays the current operational mode of the Pilot.

Possible modes:
Active

Indicates which Pilot performs all configuration tasks that administrators request.

Standby

Indicates which Pilot acts as a secondary (passive) device and if the active Pilot fails over to this standby Pilot. The passive Pilot monitors the health of the active Pilot and Controller but is not active in managing the data resources of the Oracle FS System.

Unknown

Indicates that the Pilot operational state could not be determined.

Status

Displays the current operational state of the Pilot.

Possible states:
Normal

Indicates that the Pilot is operating normally.

Warning

Indicates that the Pilot has a minor error that requires attention at your earliest convenience.

Critical

Indicates that the Pilot has a major error that requires prompt action.

Booting

Indicates that the Pilot is starting up.

Upgrading

Indicates that the Pilot firmware is being updated.

Shutdown

Indicates that the Pilot is shutting down.

Configuration Server Status

Indicates the state of the configuration server that runs from the active Pilot.

Pilot Network Connectivity

Provides the port status of the following network interfaces for the Pilot.
Ethernet 0

Indicates the connectivity status of the PilottoPilot interface connection.

Possible states:
Connected

Indicates that the port connection is normal and no administrator action is required.

Not Connected

Indicates that the port cannot connect.

Unknown

Connection state cannot be determined.

Ethernet 1

Indicates the connectivity status of the PilottoController interface connection.

Possible states:
Connected

Indicates that the port connection is normal and no administrator action is required.

Not Connected

Indicates that the port cannot connect.

Unknown

Connection state cannot be determined.

Management

Indicates the connectivity status of the external management network.

Possible states:
Connected

Indicates that the port connection is normal and no administrator action is required.

Not Connected

Indicates that the port cannot connect.

Unknown

Connection state cannot be determined.

Serial

Indicates the connectivity status of the internal Pilot‑to‑Pilot communication.

Possible states:
Connected

Indicates that the port connection is normal and no administrator action is required.

Not Connected

Indicates that the port cannot connect.

Unknown

Connection state cannot be determined.

Service Port

Indicates the connectivity status of the service port, which is reserved for Oracle use.

Possible states:
Connected

Indicates that the port connection is normal and no administrator action is required.

Not Connected

Indicates that the port cannot connect.

Unknown

Connection state cannot be determined.

Consistency of Status

Identifies the connection reliability of the network interfaces.

Possible states:
Consistent

Indicates that the connection is reliable.

Inconsistent

Indicates that the connection is not reliable. You will need to perform troubleshooting to resolve the problem. Inconsistent status might not be caused by network issues, particularly on the Ethernet and the Serial ports.
