Download and Install the VDS Provider

The Pilot management interface provides links to download the Oracle FS Virtual Disk Service Provider software. The software is available for both 32‑ and 64‑bit systems.

Prerequisites

An Oracle FS System configured with FC protocol.
You need the following information to register the Oracle FS System with the Oracle FS Virtual Disk Service Provider software:
- System serial number
- Login account: username
- Login account: password

The software installer allows the configuration of an Oracle FS System. Additional systems can be configured from a command‑line tool, called registerAxiom.

Start a web browser.
Specify the IP address of the Pilot or the name of the Oracle FS System as the address to open.
Click the Utility Software tab.
Download the VDS software and save the file to your server.
Select the software version that is appropriate for your system architecture.
- Download Oracle FS VDS Provider ‑ 32 bit
- Download Oracle FS VDS Provider ‑ 64 bit
Locate the file on your server and double‑click the file to begin the installation.
Follow the instructions to install the software on the server.
Note: You are prompted for the Oracle FS System serial number, user name, and password during the installation.
To close the installation wizard, click Close from the Installation Complete page.
Restart the Windows server.

Next, verify that the software is installed correctly.
