Modify Single‑Tier LUN: Change to Auto-Tiered LUN

You might want to change a single‑tier LUN to an auto-tiered LUN when you want to make efficient use of the Oracle FS System resources.

1. Navigate to SAN > Storage > LUNs.
2. Select the LUN that you want to modify.
3. Select Actions > Modify.
4. Click the Quality of Service tab.
5. Click Auto Tier.
6. (Optional) Click the Additional Options button.
   Result:The Additional Options dialog appears.
7. (Optional) From the Additional Options dialog, select the desired Storage Classes that you want the auto‑tier LUN to use.
8. (Optional) To enable auto‑tiering, select the Tier Reallocation Enabled check box.
9. Click Close.
10. Update the QoS properties, as necessary.
11. To save your changes to the LUN, click OK.
