You can schedule software updates to occur at a specified time. For example, you can schedule an update to occur during off-peak hours when there is less I/O activity.
You can schedule updates to occur within 72 hours.
- Navigate to .
The summary page displays the software and firmware packages currently installed on the Drive Enclosures, Drives, Pilots, and Controllers, as well as any staged software and firmware packages.
- Select .
- (Optional) Select the individual software module that you want to update.
The default action is
Install if newer version.
Valid options are:
Do not install
Install if newer version
Always Install
Important! Only update individual software modules under the direction of Oracle Customer Support.
- To enable a software update schedule for a later time, click the Schedule software update to occur at a later time option.
- Click the ellipsis control (...) and enter the date and time on which the system should perform the operation. You can schedule updates to occur within 72 hours.
- Click OK.
Result:After clicking OK, the Software and Firmware page displays the scheduled software update.Important! At the scheduled time of the update, the system status must be normal with no system alerts. If the system status is not normal or the system has alerts, the scheduled update fails.
You can click Cancel Scheduled Update at any time to cancel the scheduled software update.
