You can modify an existing snapshot schedule in the vSphere Client with the Oracle vSphere Plug-In for Oracle Flash Storage Systems.
A snapshot schedule controls how often to take snapshots of a datastore. You can modify the frequency at which snapshots are created, or you can enable or disable the snapshot schedule.
- In vSphere, select Datastores and Datastore Clusters.
- In the vSphere inventory tree, select a datastore containing non-clone LUNs from a single Oracle FS System.
This datastore can be the one for which you want to modify a snapshot schedule, or the datacenter containing the datastore for which you want to modify a snapshot schedule.
- Right-click the datastore or datacenter and select .
Result:The Manage Snapshot Schedules page displays a list of the existing snapshot schedules.
- Provide authentication credentials for the vCenter server, if you have not already provided them.
- Provide authentication credentials for the Oracle FS System, if you have not already provided them.
- From the listed schedules, select the schedule you want to modify and then click Modify Schedule.
- Make any necessary changes to the schedule in the Modify Snapshot Schedule page.
- Click OK to save changes to the schedule.
- Click Done to leave the Manage Snapshot Schedules page.
