VASA Provider Service on vCenter Overview

After installing the software, you must add the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA as a Service Provider to the vSphere center using the vSphere client.

After you install the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA software, you must access the vSphere client to add the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA as a Service Provider.

The Service Provider information displayed in vSphere Center includes these fields:

Provider Name

Oracle Corporation

Provider Status

Online or Offline. If the Provider Status is offline, check for the following conditions:

Verify that the server where Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA is installed can communicate with the server where the VMware vCenter is installed.
Verify that the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA password has not expired.

Provider Version

The version number for the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA.

API Version

The API version number for the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA.

com.oracle.ofs.vasaprovider

The storage system model, such as Oracle FS System.
