VASA Provider System Requirements

VASA Provider has specific version requirements for software applications and operating systems.

The following table summarizes the requirements for software applications.

Oracle FS System	6.1 or higher	The system where components, such as physical drives (LUNs) and clones reside. The VASA Provider communicates with the Oracle FS System to obtain information for the VMware vCenter Server.
VMware vCenter Server	6.0	The VMware vCenter Server is used to gather and display storage information. The VASA Provider is registered with the VMware vCenter to enable communication with the Oracle FS System.
vSphere Client	5.1 or higher	The vSphere Client is used to monitor and manage storage from the VMware vCenter Server. The client provides an interface to the VMware vCenter Server. The vSphere Client works with the Oracle vSphere Plug-in 3.5 for Oracle Flash Storage System to monitor and manage an Oracle FS System.
