(Optional) Remove the VASA Provider

If you no longer need Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA, you can uninstall it.

Prerequisite:
When you uninstall the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA software, all information is removed, including passwords and information for any Oracle FS System. If you intend to install the software again and monitor the same storage systems again, make a note of the IP address or hostname, and the user account and password information for each Oracle FS System that was monitored.
Uninstalling Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA removes the software and all information, including the IP address or hostname, user account and password for any Oracle FS System that was monitored.

Remove the VASA Provider Using Windows

  1. Navigate to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  2. From the Add or Remove Programs dialog, select the Oracle FS Provider for VMware VASA software program, and click Remove.

Remove the VASA Provider Using Linux

  1. To uninstall the software, use the rpm ‑e command.
    The software is removed, including all configuration information.

Remove the VASA Provider Using Solaris

  1. To uninstall the software, use the pkgrm command.
    The software is removed, including all configuration information.
