This
release of OFS AAAI Application Pack is cumulative of all enhancements and bug
fixes done since v8.0.0.0.0 release.
Additional Licensing Information
To use the Distributed AM Processing feature, explained in the New Features in This Release section, additional licenses may apply.

Prerequisites
The minimum patch set level should be OFS AAAI Application Pack v8.0.0.0.0 or OFS AAAI Application Pack v8.0.2.0.0 (using Full Installer).

Starting 8.0.0.0.0 release, OFSAA applications are packaged and released as Application Packs. Refer to the subsequent sections for more details.

Following is the list of new features incorporated in this release. For detailed information on usage of these features, see OFS Analytical Applications Infrastructure User Guide 8.0.5.0.0.
1. Model Upload
· Model-upload functionality now supports moving the model encoding and DDL scripts from one environment to another environment (For e.g. from Dev to UAT), so that the model upload process need not have to be repeated and object registration can be done directly on the target. To indicate this functionality, Data Model Descriptor has been added as a model upload option in the Model Upload UI. This option is used to resume model upload process from the logical data model in the form of OFSAA Data Model Descriptor file (Database.XML).
· An option to print DDL statements in to execution log file is introduced.
· An option to use Session Parameters and Hints during model upload process is introduced.
· OFSAAI supports ERwin version 9.7 generated XMLs in Model Upload process.
2. Data Management Tool
· BATCH_RUN_ID as a parameter can be passed in a Data Mapping definition.
· Support of HINT for table to file extraction (T2F) is introduced.
3. Data Quality Framework
· Resave button is introduced in the DQ Rules summary screen, which allows user to regenerate the query for multiple DQ Rules.
4. Operations
· Support of Distributed AM Processing is introduced where AM engine can be configured to run on multiple nodes and Batch Tasks now get distributed across AM engines running on multiple nodes. This can be achieved either by configuring OFSAA instance through load balancer or manually segregating Batch task to run on specific AM engine.
· Crash handling of backend servers is introduced. During a batch execution if the Activation Manager (AM) server goes down, as soon as it comes up, the status of all the tasks in that batch will become Indeterminate.
· For load balancing, different tasks in a Batch can be executed through different nodes in AM server. For more information on how to configure secondary AM server, see OFS Analytical Applications Infrastructure Administration Guide.
· An option to purge or delete the Logs under View Log is introduced through ESIC.
5. System Configuration and Identity Management
· The number of characters allowed for User Name is increased to 100 from 60.
6. Excel Upload
· A source column in excel upload can be mapped to multiple columns in the target table.
7. Business Metadata Management
· Option to provide SQL Hints and degree of parallelism in Derived Entity has been introduced. This is also part of 8.0.4.1.0 ML.

Object
Migration Utility
· The utility is enhanced to include a new parameter called IncludeInstances to migrate instance data along with the object.
9. Process Modelling Framework (PMF)
· Support of Run, Batch, Interactive, Workflow (human and automated tasks), and also mixing of the various modes of orchestration within a process flow
· Support of PMF executions (tasks) for runtime parameters
· Ability to create ICC batch with component as PMF pipeline
· While migrating PMF Process, you can configure new parameter called “IncludeInstances” to “Y”, to migrate questionnaire instance data along with the PMF process.
10. Metadata Browser (MDB)
· Supports MDB in Google Chrome and Firefox in addition to Internet Explorer
· MDB Publish of Data Sources, that is, publish of External Source Table / Column, object IDs must match IDs of Model upload table, if the Data Source is an existing Infodom.
11. Questionnaire
· Questionnaire component introduces Review Questionnaire functionality, which enables n-eyes layers of security (maker / checker) for approval of Questionnaires.
· Questionnaire introduces Online Help to enhance usability support.
· Questionnaire does not allow modification of Questionnaire Configuration Attribute, which ensures the integrity of Questionnaire data.
· Object Migration of Questionnaires and dependent objects is supported.
· Unique ID implementation across questionnaire is introduced.
· While the Questionnaire is in ‘Pending Approval’ status or ‘Open’ status, editing of mapped attributes is not supported.

Limitations/Known Issues in This Release
· Attributes should not be edited (other than Attribute Name) if it is linked to a Questionnaire irrespective of the Questionnaire status.
· Migrating workflow instance data on the basis of Questionnaire ID is not available.
· Incremental migration of Questionnaire instance data is not possible; that is, once workflow instances are migrated, you cannot migrate it again for newly created Questionnaires.
