Rolling Back a Patch by Using the MySQL Cloud Service Console

You can roll back the last patch to a database deployment on MySQL Cloud Service from the MySQL Cloud Service Patching page.

To roll back the last patch by using the MySQL Cloud Service console:

  1. Open the MySQL Cloud Service console.

For detailed instructions, see Accessing MySQL Cloud Service Console.

  2. Click the database deployment on which you want to roll back a patch.

The MySQL Cloud Service Overview page is displayed.

  3. Click the Administration tile and then click the Patching tab.

The MySQL Cloud Service Patching page is displayed.

  4. Click Rollback.

The Patching page redisplays, showing a status message that your request has been submitted, the Administration tile shows the starting time of the rollback operation, and a Rolling back... message replaces the Rollback button.

    Note:

Rollback operations are performed with a minimum of impact on the functioning of the database. However, during part of the operation the database is shut down, making it inaccessible. The database restarts when that portion of the rollback operation completes.

  5. Refresh the Patching page occasionally to update the status message.

Note that the rollback operation can take several minutes to complete.

When the rollback operation completes, the Administration tile shows the completion time of the operation, and a log of the operation’s activities appears in the Details of Last Patching Activity section.
