April 2020
This document highlights the major changes for Release 18.0.2 of Oracle Retail Xstore Suite.
Oracle Retail Xstore Suite 18.0.2 includes the products below.
Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service is a point-of-sale application that provides the capabilities to carry out day-to-day transactions and conduct daily store activities. Tasks such as scanning items, applying price adjustments, tendering, and printing receipts as well as processing returns and web orders can be performed. Store operations including opening the store, managing registers and tills, and closing the store can be handled through Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service.
As part of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service, these release notes include information about Xstore Point of Service Mobile and Xenvironment.
Oracle Retail Xstore Office is a central web-based management console that provides for the facile management of the data and configurations that empower your associates. The user interface within Oracle Retail Xstore Office provides streamlined functionality that guides users through configuration changes, data changes, and deployments. Granular security access can create a custom experience for users of all access levels. Multiple support tools and alerts enable IT leaders to take a proactive approach to managing multiple installations.

This section addresses the functional enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 18.0.2.
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Italy.
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack France.
The following changes have been implemented for tax free invoices (TFI):
Items on a TFI display the appropriate item classification as provided by the French customs.
Tenders on a TFI show the appropriate tender type classification as provided by the French customs.
The country code on a TFI is the ICAO.
The expiry date of the customer's identity document, for example the passport, is sent to the provider in the TFI request.
The nationality of the customer is sent to the provider in the TFI request.
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Poland.
If an invoice is requested by the customer, the NIP code (tax code) can be captured during a sale transaction. The tax code is printed on the sale receipt and on the invoice. The invoice can also be issued at a later time through the corresponding Back office function. In this case, the tax code is the same as printed on the sale receipt and on the fiscal receipt.
The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Germany.
The TSE Configuration screens allow you to create and monitor TSE devices in your store. The TSE devices can then be associated with registers.
The TSE Register Association screen allows you to associate Xstore registers to a TSE device. A register can only be associated to a single TSE device, while multiple registers can be associated to a single TSE device.
The TSE Open screen allows you to open a TSE device so that the device can be used with a register in your store. Registers can only be opened if their associated TSE device shows the status Open.
The TSE Close screen allows you to close the TSE device before you can close the store. All registers associated with the TSE device must be closed in order to close the TSE device. As part of the TSE closing procedure, the transaction data is copied to Xstore.
Voucher taxation was implemented. The voucher can be configured to be taxable or not. The enhancement includes downstream impacts such as receipt layout, tax calculation, tender exchange, journal reporting, tender accounting, and voucher serialization number management. For more information, see the Taxed Vouchers chapter in the Oracle Retail Xstore Suite Configuration Accelerator Guide.
In countries where fiscal printers are used and returns are allowed (currently only applicable to Italy), it is now possible to issue transactions with mixed sales and returns: the system will print two separate fiscal receipts. So the user is no longer forced to issue two separate transactions.
This section addresses the technical enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 18.0.2.
