This document highlights the major changes for Release 18.0.3 of Oracle Retail Xstore Suite.

Overview

Oracle Retail Xstore Suite 18.0.3 includes the products below.

Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service

Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service is a point-of-sale application that provides the capabilities to carry out day-to-day transactions and conduct daily store activities. Tasks such as scanning items, applying price adjustments, tendering, and printing receipts as well as processing returns and web orders can be performed. Store operations including opening the store, managing registers and tills, and closing the store can be handled through Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service.

As part of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service, these release notes include information about Xstore Point of Service Mobile and Xenvironment.

Oracle Retail Xstore Office

Oracle Retail Xstore Office is a central web-based management console that provides for the facile management of the data and configurations that empower your associates. The user interface within Oracle Retail Xstore Office provides streamlined functionality that guides users through configuration changes, data changes, and deployments. Granular security access can create a custom experience for users of all access levels. Multiple support tools and alerts enable IT leaders to take a proactive approach to managing multiple installations.

Functional Enhancements

This section describes the functional enhancements that have been added to Xstore Suite 18.0.3:

Tax Free Shopping

An additional check for tax free shopping has been implemented in Xstore POS so that tax free invoices can not be issued for Northern Ireland residents, since Northern Ireland is not eligible for Tax Free Shopping.

France Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack France.

Certification

Changes have been implemented to comply with INFOCERT version 2.1. The changes include:

  • Event Logs

  • Data Purging

  • Displaying certification category, NF252 version, software name

  • Duplicates

  • Legal Entities

  • Invoice Duplicates

  • Receipt Archiving and Printout

  • Invoice Archiving and Printout

  • Invoice Signature

Germany Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Germany.

Data Export

Xstore creates the DSFinV-K (Digitale Schnittstelle der Finanzverwaltung für Kassendaten) export file at store closure for tax authorities.

Italy Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Italy.

Lottery

The Lottery function has been implemented in Xstore POS. This function enables retailers to offer customers the possibility to join the lottery. Additionally, a sanity check has been implemented for the Lottery function.

Fiscal Printer Upgrade

Xstore POS has been updated to comply with fiscal printer Registratore Telematico (RT) version 2.0.

Electronic Invoice

The new 1.2.1 schema is adopted.

Cash Limit

The overridable cash limit has been decreased to 1999.99 to comply with legal requirements.

Registratore Telematico (RT) Server Support

The Registratore Telematico (RT) server support has been removed.

Poland Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Poland.

Invoices

No invoice is issued for sales with a total value PLN 450,-- or higher.

Portugal Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Portugal.

Tax Free

The Customer Good Category field has been implemented in the request TFI message to Fintrax, against each item. The new legal requirements for Tax Free in Portugal have been implemented.

Check on Fiscal Code

Xstore is now accepting customer's fiscal codes (NIF) starting with "3".

QR Code and ATCUID

Xstore POS verifies the series validation code (ATS) during fiscal transactions, so that the code can be printed on the receipt.

Xstore POS prints the ATCUD code on receipts (standard and luxury receipts) for both fatura simplificada (FS) and fatura completa (FT) as well as returns (Nota De Credito CB) and shipping documents.

Additionally, Xstore POS generates and prints a QR code on receipts (standard and luxury receipts) for both fatura simplificada (FS) and fatura completa (FT) transactions as well as return (Nota De Credito CB) transactions.

Spain Country Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the Country Pack Spain.

Factura Simplificada

Xstore POS has been updated so that no customer data is included in the Factura Simplificada when sales data is sent to authorities (SII).

Technical Enhancements

This section addresses the technical enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 18.0.3.

Middleware

Oracle Retail Xstore Suite Release 18.0.3 is supported for use with the following Middleware components:

  • Tomcat 9.0.40

  • Jetty 9.4.35

Integration with ORCE Cloud Service 20.0

If a customer is planning to integrate to ORCE Cloud Service 20.0 please contact your Oracle Support Representative to obtain specific configuration changes required for that integration.

File Transfer Service

A new File Transfer Service (FTS) was implemented with Oracle Retail Customer Engagement Cloud Service (ORCE) v20.0. The File Transfer Service replaces sFTP for retailers that use ORCE. The File Transfer Service moves promotion files between ORCE and Xstore Office On-Premise.

Defect Fixes and Documentation

A defect fix is a modification to the base Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service code (for example, a bug fix, a performance enhancement, a functional enhancement, or a technical enhancement). The file named DEFECT MODULE XREF Xstore Suite 18.0.3.xls lists every defect number and the modules and scripts that are added or modified in the release. The file is posted to My Oracle Support at the following location: Oracle Retail Defect Document Listings (Doc ID: 2021275.1).
