This document highlights the major changes for Release 19.0.1 of Oracle Retail Xstore Suite.

Overview

Oracle Retail Xstore Suite 19.0.1 includes the products below.

Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service

Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service is a point-of-sale application that provides the capabilities to carry out day-to-day transactions and conduct daily store activities. Tasks such as scanning items, applying price adjustments, tendering, and printing receipts as well as processing returns and web orders can be performed. Store operations including opening the store, managing registers and tills, and closing the store can be handled through Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service.

As part of Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service, these release notes include information about Xstore Point of Service Mobile and Xenvironment.

Oracle Retail Xstore Office

Oracle Retail Xstore Office is a central web-based management console that provides for the effortless management of the data and configurations that empower your associates. The user interface within Oracle Retail Xstore Office provides streamlined functionality that guides users through configuration changes, data changes, and deployments. Granular security access can create a custom experience for users of all access levels. Multiple support tools and alerts enable IT leaders to take a proactive approach to managing multiple installations.

Functional Enhancements

This section addresses the functional enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 19.0.1.

Austria Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Austria.

Activation and Deactivation Receipts

The activation and deactivation receipts include additional information required for the manual census on tax authority portal.

Germany Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Germany.

Data Export

Xstore creates the DSFinV-K (Digitale Schnittstelle der Finanzverwaltung für Kassendaten) export file at store closure for tax authorities.

France Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack France.

Tax Free Invoices

The following changes have been implemented for tax free invoices (TFI):

  • Items on a TFI display the appropriate item classification as provided by the French customs.

  • Tenders on a TFI show the appropriate tender type classification as provided by the French customs.

  • The country code on a TFI is the ICAO.

  • The expiry date of the customer's identity document, for example the passport, is sent to the provider in the TFI request.

  • The nationality of the customer is sent to the provider in the TFI request.

Receipts and Invoices

The following enhancements have been made:

  • A special privilege is needed to reprint receipts.

  • The Void invoice function is no longer available.

  • The unit of measure is now printed on receipts and invoices.

  • An audit log record is written when a compliance setting change takes place.

  • Post void transactions are signed according to legal requirements.

  • The sales type like sales or returns is printed on the receipt.

  • The duplicate numbering starts from "1" now.

  • General enhancements have been made regarding receipt reprints, receipt printouts and invoices.

  • Significant changes are applied on the regulatory requirements in relation to how signatures are calculated.

  • Additional configuration information changes are now logged in the Technical Event Log.

Tax Groups

Xstore no longer uses the item tax code in the calculation of the electronic signature. A sale created from a Web Order is processed correctly and the electronic signature is created without using the items tax code.

Order Transactions - Returns

Xstore POS applies local taxation elements like tax rate and tax group IDs for returned web order items now.

Italy Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Italy.

Lottery

The Lottery function has been implemented in Xstore POS. This function enables retailers to offer customers the possibility to join the lottery. Additionally, a sanity check has been implemented for the Lottery function.

Electronic Invoice

The new 1.2.1 schema is adopted.

Poland Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Poland.

Invoicing/Tax Code

If an invoice is requested by the customer, the NIP code (tax code) can be captured during a sale transaction. The tax code is printed on the sale receipt and on the invoice. The invoice can also be issued at a later time through the corresponding Back office function. In this case, the tax code is the same as printed on the sale receipt and on the fiscal receipt.

Validating NIP Code

When you enter the tax code in the Customer Maintenance or Sale screen, Xstore validates if the format of the NIP code (tax code) is correct.

Portugal Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Portugal.

Mandatory Customer on Credit Notes

It is now configurable if the customer is mandatory or not for the credit notes.

Japan Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Japan.

Receipts

The Ryoshusho (RSS) format has been enhanced, for more information about Ryoshusho see the Oracle Retail Xstore Suite Configuration Accelerator Guide.

Xstore Office - Stamp Tax Report

The Stamp Tax Report is now available for the country pack Japan in Xstore Office.

Spain Configuration Accelerator

The following functional enhancements have been implemented for the country pack Spain.

Document Type for Credit Notes

Spain legislation is allowing to issue a Factura Rectificativa Completa or Simplificada against an original Factura Simplificada. That is now configurable in Xstore.

Tax Free

The following functional enhancements have been implemented.

Global Blue IC2

Performances were improved in 19.0.1. Minor bugs were fixed.

Planet

It is now possible to configure if the item unit of measure should be provided or not.

Technical Enhancements

This section addresses the technical enhancements included in Oracle Retail Xstore Suite System Release 19.0.1.

Oracle MICROS Workstation 625X and 655X

Xstore POS is now supported for use with the Oracle MICROS Workstation 625X and 655X.

Middleware

Oracle Retail Xstore Suite Release 19.0 is supported for use with the following Middleware components:

  • Tomcat 9.0.34

  • Jetty 9.4.27

Defect Fixes and Documentation

A defect fix is a modification to the base Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service code (for example, a bug fix, a performance enhancement, a functional enhancement, or a technical enhancement). The file named DEFECT MODULE XREF Xstore Suite 19.0.1.xls lists every defect number and the modules and scripts that are added or modified in the release. The file is posted to My Oracle Support at the following location: Oracle Retail Defect Document Listings (Doc ID: 2021275.1).
