Merchandise Credit Print Program (D29)

Purpose: Use this screen to define the program the system uses to print merchandise credits.

System name field: Enter the program name the system uses to print merchandise credits.

MICROS provides the name of the system program that prints merchandise credits. If you write your own program, or if MICROS modifies the program that prints merchandise credits, you must enter the new program name in this field.

The standard graphical merchandise credit printing program is MERCHCG, and the standard non-graphical program is MERCHC. See the Merchandise Credit for samples.

You might issue a merchandise credit when the customer paid for the order with a coupon or credit, or when the customer prepaid on the order but returned merchandise after a grace period. Select the Generate Merchandise Credits field at Processing Refunds (MREF) to generate merchandise credits.

If you leave this field blank the system does not print merchandise credits. The system prints only the Coupon/Credit Register if you print merchandise credits and have not specified a program name in this field.
