This image is a flowchart describing the steps to discover an Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance. The left portion describes the prerequisites. Before you start with the discovery steps, you must know the name of the storage appliance, host name of the storage appliance, host name of the monitoring agent, host name of the backup agent which is optional, and the SSH credential information. The right portion contains the workflow. To start the discovery steps, from the Setup menu of the Enterprise Manager user interface, select Add Targets and click Add Targets Manually. Next, Under Add Non-Host Targets Using Guided Process, Click Add Using Guided Process. Next, in the Add Using Guided Process window, select Systems Infrastructure ZFS Storage Appliance Controller from the list. Next, click Add. Now, enter the Target Name of the appliance, ZFS Storage Server DNS Name or IP Address, and monitoring agent EMD URL. A decision box asks: If the Backup Agent EMD URL is available? If yes, go to Enter the Backup Agent EMD URL, and then enter the SSH Monitoring credentials. If no, go to Enter SSH Monitoring Credentials. Click Add. Now, the appliance is discovered and monitored.
