Adding a Keyboard Shortcut That Opens Help


Many users are accustomed to pressing the F1 key to access help. It is recommended that you map the F1 key to display help in your Siebel application. For more information, see Configuring Keyboard Shortcuts for an Application or Applet.

To add a keyboard shortcut that opens help

  1. In Siebel Tools, display the Command object type.

    For more information, see Displaying Object Types You Use to Configure Siebel CRM.

  2. In the Object Explorer, click Command.
  3. In the Commands list, query the Name property for the following command object:

    Contents Help (SWE)

  4. In the Object Explorer, expand the Command tree, and then click Accelerator.
  5. In the Accelerators list, modify the accelerators using values from the following table.

    Key Sequence Property

  6. Compile and test your modifications.
  7. Distribute the Siebel repository file to the appropriate Siebel Servers and Siebel clients.
