About Deploying Siebel Open UI

Deploying Siebel Open UI for Siebel Business Applications is relatively straightforward. If you plan the process well, then you can deploy Siebel Open UI applications to your users in a phased process that does not affect the users of your existing applications. You can migrate your Siebel Business Applications to Siebel Open UI without a significant development effort.

The tasks that you must perform, or can perform, depend on whether you are installing Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 in a new deployment or are installing it for an existing deployment. Separate roadmap topics are provided for these two cases. Use the correct roadmap for your installation case.


Note:

The roadmap topics are intended to clarify the sequence of tasks in each of these cases. The roadmaps do not cover all of the required tasks. The tasks that you must perform also depend on which RDBMS you are using for the Siebel database, which Siebel CRM products you are installing, your configuration requirements, whether you are using load balancing, and other considerations.

Most of the steps to install and deploy Siebel Business Applications are described in detail in the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using and are not specific to Siebel Open UI. See other documentation that is noted in the roadmap topics or identified in "Related Information About Deploying Siebel Open UI".
