Managing Parts for Siebel Service

A part is an item that you sell to the customer.

The following procedures related to parts and part management are included in this topic:

Displaying Part Details

You can display part details by using the Product Inventory list.

To display part details  

  1. Tap the Side Menu icon on the application banner, and then tap Browser to display the following:

    • The Product Inventory list and details for the selected part in the right pane or work area.

    • A list in the left pane in which you can select the related items for product inventory.

  2. Tap a part in the Product Inventory list.

  3. To view the related items for the selected part, tap the following names in the list in the left pane:

Viewing Availability Information for a Part

Complete the following procedure to view the availability information for a part.

To view the availability information for a part  

  1. Tap the Side Menu icon on the application banner, and then tap Browser to display the following:

    • The Product Inventory list and details for the selected part in the right pane or work area.

    • A list in the left pane in which you can select the related items for product inventory.

  2. Tap a part in the Product Inventory list.

  3. Tap Availability in the left pane to view the availability for the selected part.

    All the inventory level availability details associated with the part appear in the work area, and all details for the selected part appear above the Inventory Level list in the work area.

Viewing Substitute Information for a Part

Complete the following procedure to view the substitute information for a part.

To view the substitute information for a par  

  1. Tap the Side Menu icon on the application banner, and then tap Browser to display the following:

    • The Product Inventory list and details for the selected part in the right pane or work area.

    • A list in the left pane in which you can select the related items for product inventory.

  2. Tap a part in the Product Inventory list.

  3. Tap Substitutes in the left pane to view the substitute availability for the selected part.

    All the substitute availability details appear in the work area, and all details for the selected part appear above the Substitutes list in the work area.
