Running Reports

In the Siebel clients—Siebel Web Client, Siebel Mobile Web Client, and Siebel Developer Web Client— you use views to run Siebel Reports. While in a view, you can perform a query (optional), and then select the report you want to run from the application-level Reports Menu drop-down list.

After choosing a report output type for the report, the report generates and appears in the chosen format. Additionally, you can monitor your long-running reports, view previously run reports, or delete reports.

To run a report

  1. Navigate to the screen that contains the information for which you want to run a report.

  2. (Optional) Limit report data by running a query.

  3. On the Siebel application toolbar, click the Reports button.

  4. Click the report you want to run from the Reports Menu.

The Reports menu is a drop-down list that appears after clicking Reports on the Siebel application toolbar while you are in a view.

  5. Choose an output type, then click Submit.

A File Download dialog box appears prompting you to open or save the report.

Note:

HTML outputs to same browser window, others formats output to a new browser window.

For more information about the Siebel Reports user interface, see Siebel Reports Guide.

Note:

Reports functionality is an optional extension to Siebel Business Applications.
