Creating an Asset


Now that the products and attributes have been created successfully, you can proceed to create the assets.

To create assets

  1. Navigate to the Assets - HelpDesk view.
  2. In the Assets - HelpDesk list, create a new record and complete the necessary fields.

    Some fields are described in the following table.

    Field
    Comments

    Product

    Click the select button in the Product field to fill in the product, for example hard drive.

    Asset Category

    For example, Laptop, Desktop, Printer, Server, and so on.

    Status

    For example, Prototype, Evaluation, Installed, and so on.

    Asset #

    This field is filled in automatically.
