Associating Templates with Email Treatments

You can associate a template with an email treatment by using the following procedure. To edit the treatment template, see About Creating and Editing Treatment Templates.

This task is a step in Process of Working with Email Treatments.

To associate a treatment template with an email treatment

1. Navigate to the Offers screen, then the Email Treatments view.
2. In the Email Treatments list, select the treatment.
3. In the Edit Email tab, create a new record.
4. In the Edit Email list, complete the necessary fields.
   1. Siebel Marketing populates the Sequence field. Change the sequence if you are adding multiple templates with rich and plain format. The sequence field includes email attachments. Therefore, when you add your first template, you might get a sequence number other than 1.

      For example, if you have two templates (one HTML and one text) associated with the email treatment, then adjust the sequence so that you associate the plain format (text) first and the rich format (HTML) last. This change satisfies the Multipart MIME standard. The Multipart MIME standard defines a way to send both the text and HTML content together within the body of a single email message. The email program displays only the part that it has been configured to display.

   2. In the Template Name field, click the select button.

      You can associate one text template and one HTML template with the treatment.

   3. In the Pick Treatment Template dialog box, select the template record, and click OK.
5. Save the record to associate the template with the treatment.
