Using the Task UI Application to Create and Update an Email Treatment

Siebel Marketing includes the Create Email Treatment task to streamline the process of creating or updating an email treatment. For information on using the Task UI application, see Siebel Fundamentals. The following example lists the steps that an end user performs to use the Create Email Treatment task.

To create or update an email treatment using the Task UI

1. Navigate to Offers, then the Email Treatments view.
2. Click the Email Setup Wizard button.
3. Choose to create a new treatment or edit an existing one, and then click Next. If editing an existing treatment, then select a treatment on the Pick Email Treatment screen.
4. In the Create Email Treatment screen, enter details for the treatment.
5. In the Define Email header screen, choose a delivery profile to populate the profile parameters.
6. In the Define Merge Elements screen, choose merge field set.

   Merge field set is an email list format that defines the available merge fields. Define the merge elements to embed in the email content, including trackable URLs and landing site URLs.

7. In the Email Template screen, select a template from the picklist.

   In the Email Body HTML screen, you can see the HTML content based on your selected HTML template.

8. Make changes in the HTML editor, then save your changes by clicking the Save Template button.
9. In the Email Template Option screen, choose whether to add another template.
10. In the Email Treatment Attachment screen, associate one or more documents as attachments if required.
11. In the Review Email screen, click Test Email to test the new email treatment, using an internal seed list of recipients.
