Adding New Partners

Chapter 5, "Working with New Partners," describes a process of adding new partners.

In Siebel PRM, individuals and companies typically apply to become partners by registering at the Siebel Partner Portal. When they register, they enter information that is stored in a Prospective Partner record. When the financial institution approves them, the Prospective Partner record is converted to a Partner record.

In the financial industry, depending on your business model, you might or might not want to allow individuals or companies to apply online to become your partners.

If you allow potential partners to apply online, follow the process of adding new partners that is described in Chapter 5, "Working with New Partners."

If you do not allow potential partners to apply online, the information about Registering Individual Partners in the Chapter 5, "Working with New Partners," does not apply to you.

In addition, if you do not allow potential partners to apply online, you use a different process to add new partners than the process described in Chapter 5, "Working with New Partners." In this chapter, the enrollment process begins with the following two steps:
