Managing Data Decay Functionality


This topic gives the following example of how Oracle Customer Hub (UCM) might be used. You might use Oracle Customer Hub (UCM) differently, depending on your business model.

Data decay functionality allows a data steward to access Contact and Account address records that have not changed over a set span of time. A data steward is responsible for deployed customer information in Oracle Customer Hub (UCM). After logging in the data steward receives an alert notification that a number of records have become stale. The records in question are three Account records and two Contact records. For accounts A, B, and C, the Account Main Phone Number and Account Email Address values have changed. Also two contact records have email addresses that have changed.
