Before the upgrade, verify that handheld devices are running an OS supported by your version of Siebel CRM. Also, verify that third-party software is the correct version. After the upgrade, you must enter any handheld device-related application configuration changes into the handheld device administration screen. Supported Handheld Devices and Operating SystemsFor a full description of supported handheld devices and operating systems, see the Certifications tab on My Oracle Support. Active Sync SupportThe third-party product Active Sync must be a version supported by your Siebel CRM version. For a complete description of supported third-party products, see the Certifications tab on My Oracle Support. Handheld Device AdministrationSiebel Business Applications feature a handheld device administration screen. If you have modified the PDA portion of the Siebel Sales, Siebel Service, Siebel ePharma, or Siebel eConsumer application .cfg file, then do the following before upgrading:
Handheld Application UpgradeHandheld applications do not upgrade automatically. Users must uninstall the application and install the current release. |
