Granting a Siebel User Upgrade Authorization

The Siebel user who executes the Database Configuration Wizard and performs the upgrade must be set up as an employee on Siebel. This is the Siebel user whose user ID is entered when the Database Configuration Utility prompts for Database User Name.

The user name (user ID) of the target database must have authorization to set CURRENT SQLID and must have Siebel administrator responsibility. SADMIN is the default administrator user name. If this user does not already exist in your database, or does not have Siebel administrator privileges, then you must add this user to your database before starting the upgrade.
