This chapter explains how to install or upgrade the Deployment Configuration Program (DCP), which you use to create the end-user package that installs Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook.
To install the DCP:
Verify that your computer meets the system requirements for the DCP.
See "Requirements for the Deployment Configuration Program" for more information.
Download the Connector for Microsoft Outlook version (32-bit or 64-bit) software that corresponds to the version of Microsoft Outlook (32-bit or 64-bit) used by your organization.
Note:
If your organization uses a mix of 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook, you must download both versions of the Connector for Microsoft Outlook software. But, put each version on a separate computer.Download the software from the Oracle software delivery website:
The Connector for Microsoft Outlook software is included in the Oracle Communications Messaging Server media pack.
Extract Setup.exe to a temporary directory.
Run Setup.exe.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
When you are finished, click Finish.
The DCP is installed in the location you specified.
By default, the 32-bit DCP is installed in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sun\Deployment Configuration Program
By default, the 64-bit DCP is installed in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Sun\Deployment Configuration Program
If the DCP reports a logon failure or a failure to locate a necessary resource while it is running, and if you know that the resource exists in the location that you have specified, then the account you are using to run the DCP is not authenticated to the file server where the resources reside. Make sure that you are logged in to the locations of all such resources and then run the DCP again.
To upgrade the DCP, download the new version of the DCP and install it. The installer replaces an older version with the new version. See "Installing the Deployment Configuration Program" for more information about installing the DCP.
