Viewing Journal Status

The journal status indicates the current state of the journal. The status of a journal changes when you create, submit, approve, reject, or post the journal.

  To view journal status:

  1. In the Smart View Panel, right-click a Financial Management application, and then select Manage Journals.

    Alternatively, in the Smart View Panel, select a Financial Management application , and then select Manage Journals from the Action Panel, shown in Figure 58, Create Journal Command in the Smart View Action Panel.

  2. In the Manage Journals dialog box, view the Status column for the journal.

    StatusDescription
    WorkingJournal is created. It has been saved, but it can be incomplete. For example, it might need to have a label or single entity assigned.
    SubmittedJournal is submitted for approval.
    ApprovedJournal is approved for posting.
    RejectedJournal is rejected or unposted.
    PostedJournal adjustments are posted to the database.
  3. When finished, click Close.
