Closing a period prevents new reconciliations from being started but allows reconciliations that are in progress to be completed. Locking a period prevents changes to reconciliations for the period.
To close periods:
Select Manage, and then Periods.
Select a period.
Click Actions, then Set Status, and then Close.
To lock periods:
Select Manage, and then Periods.
Select a period.
Select Actions, then Set Status, and then Lock.
