29 UX One Role: Field Manager (Release 9.2 Update)

This chapter discusses:

29.1 Understanding the Field Manager UX One Role

The Field Manager role, and the associated UX One pages and components, enable users to:

  • Monitor the activities taking place out in the field.

  • Identify blocks of land that are performing outside of expectations.

  • Review locations where resources need to be coordinated.

The Field Manager pages enable users to receive important alerts, analyze data, and act on the information they see.

Note:

The information provided for you in this documentation describes a specific UX One role, and the associated pages and components, that were delivered.

You can use these roles, pages, components, queries, grid formats, and form layouts as they are delivered, or you can modify them to more closely meet the requirements of your organization.

29.2 Prerequisites

Before using the Field Manager role (GRFIELDJDE), and the components listed in this documentation, your system administrator must complete the steps to associate the user ID with the GRFIELDJDE role.

After this setup is complete, the users who log in with this role will automatically see the pages for their role when they log in to the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system.

29.2.1 Prerequisite Reading

Before using the Field Manager role, you should have a complete understanding of the components and applications that are accessible from the pages. Additional, essential information is provided in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications Grower Management Implementation Guide. See Introduction to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Grower Management.

29.3 Using the Field Manager UX One Role

You use the Field Manager role to access these UX One pages:

  • Field Manager Activities (P40G004X|W40G004XA)

  • Field Manager Harvest Planning (P40G004X|W40G004XB)

  • Field Manager Guidance (P40G004X|W40G004XC)

29.3.1 UX One: Field Manager Activities Page

The Field Manager Activities page (P40G004X|W40G004XA) enables users to:

  • Receive alerts regarding the number of scheduled operations, spray operations, and farm operations that will last more than 24 hours.

  • Analyze scheduled farm operations, durations of various farm operations, and equipment usage.

  • Act quickly by easily accessing the Grower Management programs.

To access the UX One Field Manager Activities page, log in to the EnterpriseOne system using the Field Manager role.

Watchlist Alerts

These alerts are based on EnterpriseOne programs. By default, the alerts are set up to use queries that are based on delivered demo data. Each of these queries is associated with a specific program version. To use a different query or call a different program version, you can modify these queries or create new queries that better meet your requirements. Additionally, these watchlists have been set up with specific warning and critical threshold values. You can adjust these values to meet your requirements.

Scheduled Operations This alert tells users the number of farm operations that are scheduled.

This alert is based on the Farm Operations Inquiry - Farm Operations Inquiry program (P40G65).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Farm Operations Inquiry form. The following form layout is available:

  • Grower Operation Details

The following grid formats are available:

  • Basic

  • Simple

Durations Over 24 Hours This alert tells users the number of farm operations that will be performed for more than 24 hours.

This alert is based on the Farm Operations Inquiry - Farm Operations Inquiry program (P40G65).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Farm Operations Inquiry form. The following form layout is available:

  • Grower Operation Details

The following grid formats are available:

  • Basic

  • Simple

Spray Operations This alert tells users the number of spray operations that are currently being performed.

This alert is based on the Operation Additives Inquiry - Operation Additives Inquiry program (P31B99).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Operation Additives Inquiry form. The following form layout is available:

  • Consumables Inquiry Operation (Release 9.2 Update)

The following grid format is available:

  • Basic


Charts

These charts are based on EnterpriseOne programs. By default, the charts are set up to render using queries that are based on delivered demo data. Each of these queries is associated with a specific program version. To use a different query or call a different program version, you can modify these queries or create new queries that better meet your requirements.

Farm Operation Durations (P31B65X|W31B65XA) Use this chart to review the instructed duration and actual duration for various farm operations.

This chart is based on the Operation Header Inquiry - Operation Header Inquiry program (P31B65).

Equipment Usage Count (P31B122X|W31B122XA) Use this chart to review the number of times a piece of equipment is used.

This chart is based on the Equipment History Inquiry - Equipment History Inquiry program (P31B122).

Spray Operations (P31B99X|W31B99XB) Use this chart to review the spray operations performed on various blocks.

This chart is based on the Operation Additives Inquiry - Operation Additives Inquiry program (P31B99).

Additionally, you can use the drop-down menu on the top of the chart to change the data that the system displays. You can select from these options:

  • Additive Total Quantity

  • Treated Area

You use tasks to access EnterpriseOne programs and other UX One pages. These tasks are included in a springboard on the page.

29.3.2 UX One: Field Manager Harvest Planning Page

The Field Manager Harvest Planning page (P40G004X|W40G004XB) enables users to:

  • Receive alerts regarding crops that are maturing, crops that are not inspected, and crops whose last load has been received or not received.

  • Analyze estimated quantity of crops, planted area, and blocks of land based on their maturity date.

  • Analyze quantities received on weigh tags that are not flagged as the last load.

  • Act quickly by easily accessing the Grower Management programs.

To access the UX One Field Manager Harvest Planning page, log in to the EnterpriseOne system using the Field Manager role. When you log in with this role, the system automatically displays the Field Manager page. Click the Field Manager Harvest Planning task on the springboard to access the Field Manager Harvest Planning page.

This alert is based on the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry - Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry program (P31B86).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry form. The following form layouts are available:

  • Weigh Tag Operation Details (Release 9.2 Update)

Not Last Load This alert tells users the number of crops for which more than one truckload is yet to be received.

This alert is based on the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry - Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry program (P31B86).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry form. The following form layouts are available:

  • Weigh Tags

  • Weigh Tag Operation Details (Release 9.2 Update)

The following grid formats are available:

  • Basic

  • Simple

Last Load This alert tells users the number of crops for which the weigh tag of the final truckload is received.

This alert is based on the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry - Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry program (P31B86).

When you click the alert, the system displays the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry form. The following form layouts are available:

  • Weigh Tags

  • Weigh Tag Operation Details (Release 9.2 Update)

The Field Manager Guidance page (P40G004X|W40G004XC) enables users to:

  • Receive alerts about blocks of land for which frozen estimates are under 1000 units, and about nonconforming test results and weigh tags from quarantined harvests.

  • Analyze crop estimate trends, test results of crops, and weigh tags from quarantined harvests.

  • Act quickly by easily accessing the Grower Management programs.

To access the UX One Field Manager Guidance page, log in to the EnterpriseOne system using the Field Manager role. When you log in with this role, the system automatically displays the Field Manager page. Click the Field Manager Guidance task on the springboard to access the Field Manager Guidance page.

Weigh Tags from Quarantine This alert tells users the number of weigh tags received from quarantined harvests.

  • Supplier Number

Test Results (P37902X|W37902XB) Use this chart to review the test result values recorded for various dates. The advanced query restricts this chart to test results from one test ID. The test value for that test ID must be numeric.

This chart is based on the Test Results Inquiry - Test Results Inquiry program (P37902).

Weigh Tags from Quarantine (P31B85JX|W31B85JXB) Use this chart to review the number of weigh tags received from the quarantined harvests.

This chart is based on the Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry - Grower Weigh Tag Inquiry program (P31B86).
