A Selection Field allows you to select items from a scrollable list. You can set selection for a single item or multiple items. Multiple items can be selected by holding down the CTRL Key while selecting.
The Selection Field Properties dialog box contains these fields:
Name: Name of the Selection field.
Value: Value of the Selection field. This item is filled when you set of the items in the Set as selected value field.
Size: The number of rows of the Selection field that are visible. If the number of selection values is greater than the size, a scrollbar appears.
Text: Label of a selection field option.
Value: Value associated with the Text field.
Add: Adds the Text and Value fields as a selection option.
Modify: Allows you to modify the Text or Value of a selection option.
Up: Moves a selection option up one row in the selection option list.
Down: Moves a selection option down one row in the selection option list.
Set as selected value: Sets a value as preselected by default.
Delete: Deletes a selected option from the selection option list.
Allow multiple selections: Allows the user to select multiple options from the selection list.
To create a Selection Field:
On the Web Page Editor - Package toolbar, click Selection Field.
Type the name of the Selection Field.
Type the number of rows of the Select Field.
Enter the text and value of a selection option.
Click Add to put the selection option in the list.
Note: Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each selection option.
Select a selection option from the list and click Set as selected value if you want to have a selection option selected by default.
Toggle on the Allow multiple selections option if you want to allow multiple selections.
