The Preview list is active when you are in the Web Page Editor, Outline Editor, or Library. While all publishing styles appear in the Preview list in Web Page Editor, the Developer does not allow you to preview publishing styles that do not fit the situation. For example, you cannot preview any Player modes in the Web Page Editor. Only document publishing styles that contain web pages are available for preview. These include System Process, Training Guide, Instructor Manual, and any custom print styles you have created that include web pages; for example you can preview a Job Aid if you add the topic concept bookmarks to that template. If you select a publishing style that does not fit the situation, the "Cannot Preview Document” message box appears.

To preview a web page using the Preview list:

1. In the Standard toolbar, select a style from the Preview list and click to preview the web page.
    
2. If prompted, click OK to save changes to the web page.
    
3. If prompted, select your browser of choice and click Open.
