Configure View Columns

After completing this topic, you will be able to configure view columns.

Steps:

1. You can add or remove columns while creating a new view or editing an existing view.

    

   Tip: You can also add and remove columns by right-clicking a column heading in the Library window and selecting the Column Chooser command.

   Step 1

2. Select the column you want to add to the view from the Available list.

    

   Click the Frames list item.

3. Add the selected column to the view.

    

   Click the Add button.

   Step 3

4. Add the Document Id and Path columns to the view. You can add multiple columns at the same time.

    

   Click the Document Id list item.

5. Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Path list item.

   Step 5

6. Click the Add button.

   Step 6

7. Move the Path column above the Document Id column.

    

   Click the Path list item.

   Step 7

8. Click the Move up button.

   Step 8

9. Each column has a default width, but you can change the width of any column in a view. Select the column whose width you want to modify.

    

   Click the Frames list item.

   Step 9

10. Double-click in the Column width field.

    Step 10

11. Enter the desired information into the Column Width field. Enter "100".

12. Click the Apply button to apply the changes.
