Create a Playback Mode Filter

After completing this topic, you will be able to create a playback mode filter.

Steps:

1. Add a playback mode filter.

    

   Click the Filters list.

   Step 1

2. Click the Playback mode list item.

   Step 2

3. Change the persistence to save the default values.

    

   Click the Persistence list.

   Step 3

4. Click the Save list item.

   Step 4

5. Include the filter criteria in the report.

    

   Click the Include in report option.

   Step 5

6. Set Try It! as the default play mode.

    

   Click the Default value list.

   Step 6

7. Click the Try It! list item.

   Step 7

8. Preview the report.

    

   Click the View this report link.

   Step 8

9. The report includes data for Try It! mode only. Return to the Custom Report page.

    

   Click the Go to report design link.

   Step 9

10. Change the persistence to Ask, but leave the default play mode intact.

     

    Click the Persistence list.

11. Click the Ask list item.

    Step 11

12. Preview the report.

     

    Click the View this report link.

    Step 12

13. Try It! appears as the default playback mode, but you can select another option.

     

    Click the Playback mode list.

14. Click the Know It? list item.

    Step 14

15. Run the report.

     

    Click the Run button.

16. The report includes data for Know It? mode only.
