After completing this topic, you will be able to use Player options.
Steps:
Publish the Document Basics module for the Player, Training Guide and Instructor Manual.
Step 1Use the menu to start the publishing process.
Click the File menu.
Step 2Click the Publish command.
Step 3Publish to the default publishing destination.
Click the Next > button.
Step 4Publish the selection only.
Click the Publish entire outline option.
Step 5Continue setting the publishing options.
Click the Next > button.
Step 6When you publish a different content selection to a destination folder that already contains published content, you are asked if you wish to replace the existing content. If you continue, the results depend on the type of format you are publishing.
Note: If you did not want to replace the published content, you would click the Cancel button and publish to another publishing destination.
Step 7Publish the content to the same publishing destination and replace the old content.
Click the Continue button.
Step 8Choose the desired deployment option.
In this example, click the Player and LMS option.
Step 9Publish Content using the Gray skin.
Click the Skin list.
Step 10Click the Gray list item.
Step 11Change the color of the marquee to blue.
Click the Marquee color button.
Step 12Select the desired color.
Click the Blue (1st column) option in Recent Colors.
Step 13Click the OK button.
Step 14Click the scroll bar to show all of the options for the Player Preferences.
Step 15Do not allow users to change their preferences.
Click the Enable users to change their Player preferences option to deselect it.
Step 16Do not allow users to press Enter to skip steps in Try It! mode.
Click the Enable skipping in Try It! mode option to deselect it.
Step 17Publish the content in a Training Guide and Instructor Manual document format.
Click the Training Guide option.
Step 18Notice that the Web page format is set to Developer settings.
Step 19Click the Instructor Manual option.
Step 20Notice that the Web page format is set to Word Template settings, which is the option set in the Options dialog box.
Step 21Deselect the options to Include images from packages and Include images from web pages.
Click the Include images from packages option to deselect it.

Step 23Publish the formats.
Click the Publish button.
Step 24The Publishing Process begins publishing the Player Package.
Step 25The Publishing Process continues publishing the Training Guide.

Step 27When the publishing is complete, click the link to open the published content folder.
Click the C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Documents\User Productivity Kit\Publishing Content link.
Step 28Open the PlayerPackage folder to view the contents.
Double-click the PlayerPackage list item.
Step 29Use the Play.exe file to launch the Player.
Double-click the play.exe list item.

Notice the font and formatting used for the Orientation and Margins headings. The manual uses the font and formatting from the template because it was published using Word Template settings.
Also, notice that the graphic for the Changing the Page Setup concept was not included as we choose to exclude images from packages and web pages.
Step 56Close the Instructor Manual and Microsoft Word.
Click the Close button.
Step 57Close the Window Explorer window.
Click the Close button.
Step 58Click Finish to close the Publishing Complete dialog box.
Click the Finish button.
