Assign a Glossary to Documents in the Library


After completing this topic, you will be able to assign a glossary to documents in the Library.


Steps:

  1. We have assigned the WordPad Terms glossary to the documents in the Document Basics module. New web pages that you create/link to those documents automatically inherit the glossary assignment. However, the existing web pages that are linked do not automatically inherit the parent's glossary assignment.

    Step 1
  2. We want to assign the WordPad Terms glossary to all of the web pages in the folder. Notice that we have sorted the documents by Type to make it easier to select them.

  3. Select all of the web pages in the folder.

     

    Click the Lists web page.

  4. Press the [Shift] key and click the File web page.

  5. Click in the Glossary field.

  6. Assign the WordPad Terms glossary to the selected documents.

     

    Click the Browse button.

  7. We have opened the Content/Attachments folder for you. The WordPad Terms glossary is already selected.

     

    Click the Open button.

  8. The glossary is assigned to the selected documents.
