View Attachments in the Player


After completing this topic, you will be able to view attachments in the Player.


Steps:

  1. We have published the Document Basics module for a Player deployment.

  2. The concept of the Document Basics module links to a presentation stored in a package.

  3. Click the Creating and Opening Documents link.

    The author linked the world graphic in the web page to a URL that launches a web site that is stored locally in a package.

     

    Click the "world" graphic.

  5. The web site launches in a new tab in the browser. Close the browser tab for the WSG Web.

     

    Click the Close button on the WSG Web tab.

    Each list item links to another attachment, such as a web page, package file, or a URL that launches an Internet web page.

    Click the letter link in the Concept pane.

  9. Close the browser tab for the "letter" link.

     

    Click the Close button on the localhost tab.

  10. Play the selected topic in Try It! mode to view the frame and bubble attachments.

     

    Click the Try It! button.

    The first frame uses a light bulb, which is one of the standard icons for frame links.

     

    The second frame link uses a key, which is a custom icon. You can create custom icons for frame links.

    Point to the key icon to view the tooltip.

    Click the key icon.

  17. We have advanced to an Explanation frame.

  18. The Explanation frame contains a bubble text link to the word "browse." You can link bubble text to a web page or package file in the Library, or to a URL.

     

    In this example, the bubble text links to a web page.

     

    Click the browse link.

  19. The web page opens in a browser window. Close the web page window.

     

    Click the Close button.
