Add and Format Text in a Web Page


After completing this topic, you will be able to add and format text in a web page.


Steps:

  1. Enter the desired information into the web page. Enter "A document is any of the following:".

  2. Press [Enter] to start a new line of text.

  3. Create a bulleted list using the toolbar.

     

    Click the Insert/Remove Bulleted List button.

  4. You may notice a red dashed line (called a magic line) appearing across the page. Sometimes it is hard to position your cursor between web page elements. The magic line appears below certain elements such as lists and tables. You can click the Insert Paragraph Here button at the end of the line to create a new line under the element.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Bullet list field. Enter "letter".

  6. Press [Enter] to create a second bullet.

  7. Enter the desired information into the Bullet list field. Enter "memo".

  9. Select all of the text using the Edit menu.

     

    Click the Edit menu.

  11. Change the font color of the text to dark blue.

     

    Click the Text Color button.

  14. Bold the word "document".

     

    Double-click the word document to select it.

  16. Select the text in the first paragraph.

     

    Press the left mouse button and drag the mouse to select the desired text.

  18. Change the font size to 12 points.

     

    Click the Font Size list button.

  20. Save the changes to the web page.
