Work with the Overlay Structure


After completing this topic, you will be able to work with the overlay structure.


Steps:

  1. The first slide in the overlay is a list of actions that will and will not work in the overlay.

    Step 1

  2. Notice the Overlay Editor command after the View tab.

  3. Select the next slide, which is the slide for the first frame.

     

    Click the Slide 2 thumbnail.

  4. Notice the bubble and action area in the slide. Also notice the number 21 in the upper left corner. This is the ID of the frame in the Topic Editor.

  5. The text in the Notes pane were imported from the Author Notes pane in the Frame Comments toolpane for this frame.

     

    You can add to or edit the text, and the notes will be imported back to the Author Notes pane in the topic.

  6. View the next slide, which is a blank slide.

     

    Click the Slide 3 thumbnail.

  7. You can add text and images, such as bullet lists, graphs, or flowcharts to a blank frame.

  8. You can add your own notes to the Notes pane.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Slide Notes field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Add bullet points"
    .
