After completing this topic, you will be able to view related documents.


Steps:

  1. Open the Related Documents toolpane.

     

    Click the View menu.

  2. Point to the Panes menu.

  3. Click the Related Documents command.

    Step 3

  4. Click the Creating and Opening Documents section.

    Step 4

  5. The top pane shows dependent child documents that link from the section. These links are saved with the parent, in this case, the Creating and Opening Documents section.

     

    The bottom pane shows parent documents that link to the Creating and Opening Documents section. That link is saved with the parent, in this case, the Document Basics module.

    Step 5

  6. Select the Attachments folder in the folder pane.

     

    Click the Attachments folder.

  7. Click the Question images package in the Contents pane.

    Step 7

  8. Notice that the bottom pane of the Related Documents toolpane shows that several questions link to the Question images package.

  9. Open the WordPad Training module from the WP folder.

     

    Click the WP folder.

    Step 9

  10. Double-click the WordPad Training module.

    Step 10

  11. Expand the outline using the toolbar button.

     

    Click the Expand button.

  12. Click the Document Basics module.

    Step 12

  13. Notice the links in the Related Documents toolpane.

  14. You can also open a document from either section of the Related Documents toolpane.

     

    Double-click the Saving Documents section in the top pane of the Related Documents toolpane.
