B.10 gateway connection list

Displays detailed connection statistics for an SGD Gateway.

Syntax

gateway connection list [ --server server ]
                      [ --client client ]
                      [ --type http|aip|websocket ]
                      [[ --format text|xml|delimited ] | [--delimiter delimiter ]]

Description

To use this command, you must enable authorized access to the SGD Gateway reflection service, as follows:

# /opt/SUNWsgdg/bin/gateway config enable --services-reflection-auth

You must restart the SGD Gateway to enable the configuration changes.

When the reflection service is enabled, you can use the available options for this command to format and filter the output as required.

The following table shows the available options for this command.

Option

Description

--server

Show connection statistics for a specified SGD server. Specify a fully qualified DNS name, such as boston.example.com.

--client

Show connection statistics for a specified SGD client. Specify an IP address.

--type

Show connection statistics for the specified connection type: HTTP, AIP, or WebSocket.

Websocket connections are used for data connections between the SGD Gateway and tablet devices, and for connections to the SGD workspace when Java technology is not enabled in the client browser.

--format

Output status data in the selected format. The default output format is text.

For delimited output, use the --delimiter option to specify a field delimiter.

--delimiter

Output status data using the specified field delimiter. For example, use a comma (,) for CSV output.

Examples

The following example displays detailed connection statistics for all connections to the SGD Gateway. An example of typical output is shown.

The following example displays detailed connection statistics for all connections between the SGD Gateway and the SGD server sgd1.example.com.

The following example displays detailed connection statistics for all HTTP connections to the SGD Gateway from the specified client IP address.

# /opt/SUNWsgdg/bin/gateway connection list --client 10.0.0.2 --type http

The following example displays detailed connection statistics in XML format.
