Chapter 89: Working with E-Commerce Holidays (WECH)
Purpose: Use e-commerce holidays to define the dates when customers at your web storefront should receive shipments on future orders. This information is included in the download to the web storefront, and makes it simpler to specify the arrival date to use when creating the order.
For example, you can set up February 14 as Valentine's Day. When the customer at the web storefront selects Valentine's Day delivery, the arrival date on the order is set to 2/14. The order will not be eligible for pick slip generation until that date, minus any pick processing days and lead days, is reached. If the total processing and lead days amounted to 10, the order would be eligible for pick slip generation on February 4. See the description of the Pick Processing Days (B37) system control value.
You can use e-commerce holidays to default the arrival date for orders processed through the e-commerce interface only.
Download: E-commerce holidays are included in the E-commerce static files download. See Chapter 90: Downloading E-Commerce Static Files (ESTF).
