Drive Group Statistics Overview

Access drive group statistics for real-time statistics that can be used to review performance.

When reviewing drive group statistics, consider the following information:
When reviewing drive group statistics, take note of the media type in the drive group as different media types have different performance characteristics. To determine the media type for a drive group, navigate to System > Hardware > Drive Groups and review the information under the Media Type column.
Note: Drive Group Statistics are only available as real-time statistics from the Drive Group Real Time Statistics graph which is accessed from System > Reporting & Statistics > Drive Group Statistics > Actions > Drive Group Real Time Statistics.

The available statistics that are displayed from the Drive Group Real Time Statistics include:

Drive Group
Displays statistics for the selected drive group.
Valid statistics:
Read IOPS
Indicates the average number of read operations per second per drive group.
Write IOPS
Indicates the average number of write operations per second per drive group.
Total IOPS
Indicates the average number of read operations and write operations per second per drive group.
Read bytes per second
Indicates the rate at which the system has transferred bytes from a drive group during read operations.
Write bytes per second
Indicates the rate at which the system has transferred bytes to a drive group during write operations.
Total bytes per second
Indicates the total number of bytes for read and write activity per drive group.
Read latency
Indicates the average time to complete a read operation per drive group.
Write latency
Indicates the average time to complete a write operation per drive group.
Total latency
Indicates the average time to complete read operations and write operations at the frequency the operations occurred per drive group.
Read block size
Indicates the average read block size per drive group.
Write block size
Indicates the average write block size per drive group.
Total block size
Indicates the average block size per drive group.
Read queue depth
Indicates the number of read operations waiting to be completed for the drive group.
Write queue depth
Indicates the number of write operations waiting to be completed for the drive group.
Total queue depth
Indicates the number of read operations and write operations waiting to be completed for the drive group.
