Example to Determine Performance During Peak Usage

In this example, the administrator wants to determine if performance objectives are met during a peak usage period by reviewing latency and IOPS on key LUNs. The administrator needs to:

• measure system performance in real-time during a peak period when user activity is high.
• validate the performance of key LUNs used during the peak period.

The administrator needs to collect the following data in real-time:

• Latency on the selected LUNs that are most active during the peak period
• IOPS on the selected LUNs that are most active during the peak period
• Percentage CPU is busy on the Controller
• IOPS on the Fibre Channel ports
• Latency on all drive groups
