Even if you do not manage the hardware in the Oracle FS System yourself, it is important that you understand some details about hardware management in the Oracle FS System.
Hardware management consists of drive replacement, component replacement, and system expansion. Both drive replacement and component replacement can be performed using Guided Maintenance in the GUI. Guided Maintenance in the GUI is the preferred method of hardware replacement. System expansion is not a performed using Guided Maintenance in the GUI.
