Data Consistency Overview Page

Navigation: Support > Data Consistency

Displays the data consistency check results for the Oracle FS System Drive Group or allows you to create tasks to verify data consistency. Data consistency refers to the integrity of the parity data and not the user-created data.
Note: The data consistency check requires significant system resources and is usually performed at the direction of Oracle Customer Support.
You can perform the data consistency check by selecting a Drive Group and then select Actions > Verify Data Consistency.

When you select Verify Data Consistency, you can choose whether to run the check at low priority or high priority. At low priority, there is a 10 percent potential system impact to the system and at high priority, there is a 30 percent potential to impact system performance. If you select low priority, the check talkes longer to complete but with less potential system impact. If you do not see the results displayed after a period of time, refresh the page to display the results.

After you start a data consistency check, you cannot cancel the process. Also, the process might be shown as completed in the Tasks panel, the process can continue to run in the background until actual completion.

If the data consistency check fails, you may see the Status change to degraded. If you see a status of degraded, with or without a data consistency check, contact Oracle Customer Support.
