Disable the Data Path of a LUN

You might want to remove the ability of a SAN host to access a LUN or Clone LUN.

Disabling the data path to the logical volume prevents I/O operations on the volume. However, mappings to the SAN host entries are retained.

  1. Navigate to SAN > Storage > LUNs.
  2. Select the LUN that you want to disable from the data path.
  3. Select Actions > Disable Data Path.
    A confirmation dialog displays.
  4. To disable the data path for the LUN, click OK.
On the LUN overview page, the Host Access status of the volume changes to Inactive. You must enable the LUN to start I/O and make the LUN accessible on the network
