Identify a Controller

You can identify a specific Controller. The system uses flashing LEDs to identify hardware components. In a crowded data center, the flashing LEDs allow you to locate the Controller on which you want to perform maintenance.

1. Navigate to System > Hardware > Controllers.
   The Controllers overview page displays the status summary of each Controller, the chassis, the comment, the service type, the failover Controller , temperature, and a summary of the FRUs and CRUs.
2. Select a Controller.
3. Select Actions > Identify.
   The Identify dialog is displayed.
4. Select one of the identification options.
5. Click Next.
6. Follow the instructions provided by Guided Maintenance to identify the hardware component.
7. Click Finish.
